Sport is more than competition. The vast majority of sports take place in these blind spots, where athletes find meaning to their training, which at least at that moment is of little interest to anyone. The winners are born there, but there are also the losers. But on the other hand, who knows in advance who wins and who loses. Perhaps the one who does not let the harsh conditions discourage him is ultimately the winner - at least in his own life.
