Flag Day

There is a war in Europe, and Finns are wondering if it could extend to Finland. Suddenly, nationality became very important to Finns. I began to feel that the situation also brought out populism. I marked all the flag days, both official and established, in my calendar in advance. This way, I could ensure that I was in Finland on each day and could photograph during daylight before the flags were taken down. On flag days, Finland somehow becomes banal.
